Prolozone is a homeopathic/oxygen injection technique developed and pioneered by Dr. Frank Shallenberger. It has been used to treat all forms of musculo-skeletal problems including chronic neck and back pain, rotator cuff injuries, degenerative knees and discs, as well as shoulder, elbow and foot pain. Because of the nature of Prolozone, in many cases it can actually correct the pathology of the disorder. There is a 75% chance of becoming permanently pain free.
What is Prolozone?
Prolozone comes from the Latin word “proli” which means to regenerate or rebuild, and the word ozone. Ozone is a highly active form of oxygen. Prolozone uses the power of oxygen to regenerate damaged tissues, joints, ligaments, and tendons. This usually causes a complete healing, and a permanent end to pain.
How Does Prolozone Work?
The primary reason joints don’t heal is due to a diminished blood supply. Ligaments, tendons and joints by nature, are resilient and flexible like rubber bands. For strength tissues must get their nutrients by diffusion instead of by direct blood supply. When damaged occurs, tissue swells and diminishes the blood flow to these tissues. Pain results from damage as well as hypoxia and nutrient deficiency from lack of good blood supply. Chronic injuries often won’t heal because of this nutrient depletion.
Prolozone works in four ways. First, a local anesthetic is used to reset irritated nerves making them less sensitive. Second, homeopathic anti-inflammatories are used to calm the inflammation and reduce swelling. This also increases circulation. Third, wound healing nutrients are introduced to feed damaged cells and assist with cellular repair and regeneration. Last the cells are bathed in ozone, a reactive form of oxygen.
The result: Pain is relieved, the tissue is fed, and the increased circulation puts it back on the track to be healthy. While people respond differently, most people need between 3-5 treatments.
Conditions Successfully Treated With Prolozone
Neck pain, whiplash, degenerated or herniated discs, low back pain, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, torn tendons, sciatica, neuromas, tennis elbow, rotator cuff tears, knee injuries, and many other sports injuries.
Because Prolozone treatments also result in cartilage regeneration, the technique is also remarkably effective even for severe cases of osteo arthritis of the hip or knee. The good thing about Prolozone is that it is not just a treatment for pain. The results actually represent a permanent fix. Prolozone can be enhanced with PRP
